Bulgaria needs 10,000 more blood donors

…that Bulgarians usually give blood for friends or relatives but rarely for strangers. According to Dr Zhivka Dimitrova, the director of health policy and urgent care at the Bulgarian Red Cross, on average 550-600 Bulgarians per day need blood transfusions, and one-third of these are children.
